Safeguarding

Strive Academy follow safer recruitment processes for all staff and hold this information on a single central record to ensure the safety of all learners.

Strive Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects staff and education consultants to share this commitment.

Strive Academy takes seriously its responsibilities in relation to safeguarding. We go far beyond the requirements of a commercial organisation; in vetting members of our team, we follow the same stringent guidance that would be expected if employed in a school context.

We thoroughly check the following for all staff:

  • Identity
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Photo Identity
  • Qualifications
  • Health
  • Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) disclosure
  • Right to Work in the UK

All members of the Strive team carry a form of identity, which can be checked when working in the community along with their DBS (registered on the update service for you to check).
